    Laura A Jana, MD

    Pediatrician, educator, health communicator and award-winning author, Dr. Laura Jana finds connections across disciplines and crystallizes big ideas into far reaching, real world applications, with a focus on social impact. Currently an Associate Research Professor at Penn State’s Edna Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center, Dr. Jana was most recently Director of Innovation in Public Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Particularly interested in improving life outcomes for all children, she continues to serve as a strategic consultant to numerous government, nonprofit, and corporate clients and has become adept at navigating the traditionally siloed worlds of academia, medicine, education, publishing, and commerce.

    Gabrielle Gold-Von Simson MD, MSC

    Dr. Gold-von Simson is a Pediatric Hospitalist and the Medical Director of Inpatient Pediatrics 9 east, at Tisch Hospital/NYULMC. She earned her Masters in Clinical Investigation as an NIH K30 awardee. Her current research involves pediatric clinical trials, and she has also been involved with the formulation of a compound for dose escalation, safety, and efficacy trials. Dr. Gold-von Simson's ultimate goals are to build upon the wide breadth of the clinical inpatient experience to enhance NYU Langone Medical Center's mission, to continue to perform clinical research, specifically early stage clinical trials, and to expand the teaching programs at the NYU School of Medicine, specifically within her area of expertise, drug development and Entrepreneurship.

    Joseph R Hageman, MD

    Dr. Joseph Hageman has been Director of NICU Quality Improvement at Comer Children’s Hospital at the University of Chicago since 2015. He was Director of Pediatric Resident Research for the previous 5 years (2010-2015). He was Director of Inpatient Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care, apnea care physician, and a pediatric hospitalist from 1983-2007 at Evanston Hospital, NorthShore University Health System. He is a Senior Clinician Educator, Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago Medicine, and an Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University
